In this series we take a closer look on selected new initiatives that shape the vivid art scenes of Vienna, Zurich and Berlin.

Pilot is a project space founded in 2017 by three roommates and artists Ani Gurashvili, Vika Prokopaviciute and Niclas Schöler, who decided to use their grand Durchgangszimmer (a connecting room) as an exhibition space. They started off by giving themselves a platform to exhibit their own work at home and invite their friends. In conversation with Anna Hugo, Niclas, who is now running the space by himself, speaks about sharing a room in his private home, establishing a space for other artists to experiment and exhibit.
